A new poker table felt option

Poker Table Materials now has a new poker table felt. The new felt is a padded poker felt. There is an 1/8" think open cell foam attached on the backside of the felt.

This felt is perfect for any poker table or turn a regular table into a poker table by just throwing this felt onto the table. The foam padding will protect the table.

The felt is 58" wide and can be cut to the length that you need. This felt is sold by the foot.

Poker Table Plans

You will need to eiter figure out how to build a poker table yourself or find some poker table plans on the internet. There are a lot of good plans out there. We suggest getting a few of them, read them, get ideas from them, and then design your own. put your own personal touch into it.

NOTE: Don't bother paying anyone for poker table plans, there are plenty of good, free ones out there.

Once you design your table, next thing is to get all of your poker table supplies. The wood, screws and some of the hardware you will need to get from a local home improvement store. The rest of the materials might be tough to find at a local store.

Poker Table Felt

Finding a quality poker table felt will be tough to find at a local store. Whatever you do, DO NOT buy regular felt from a fabric store. After the first time you play on it, it will begin to produce annoying little felt balls. There are several quality poker table felt choices from online stores. The two most popular are Suited Speed Cloth and Velveteen. Both provide good playing surface.

Suited Speed Cloth

Suited Speed Cloth is a highly durable fabric. The fabric is waterproof. Any spills will just bead up and can be easily cleaned up with a towel. The suited speed cloth has a design of suites on it, making it a perfect poker table playing surface.

Velveteen

Velveteen provides a soft playing surface and cards slide with ease accross it. This fabric come in solid colors.

Other Materials

You will need foam from both the playing surface and from the armrest rail. Vinyl will also be need for the rail. Then ther are the optional items like cup holders, chip trays and money boxes.

So, find some good plans and get started on build your own poker table.

Poker Table Felt

The biggest myth about poker table felt is that it is felt. It is not.

The only poker table felts that are made with felt are inexpensive felt layouts, These felt layouts are a use and throw away product. Once you play on felt for a while, it will start to produce little annoying fuzz balls on the playing surface. You can use a blade and cut them off so you can use it again, but the life of felt is short.

All quality poker table felts are other fabrics like wool or polyester. Many of the common products are suited speed cloth and velveteen. Quality poker felts are very durable and will last for a long time.

Most poker felts are bought by the yard and are 60" wide. This allows you to purchase the amount you need and based on the size of your table.

New Poker Table Cup Holder

Poker Table Materials has just added a new cup holder to the line of poker table cup holders. The new cup is a black steel cup and is a size that was not previously available. The inside diameter of the cup measures 2 15/16" and has a depth of 2 1/4". There is a drain hole in the bottom of the cup holder.

The cup holders sell for $3.99 each or $3.79 each when purchasing of ten.
